They were by far the weirdest yet one of the most fun shows I have ever been too. I actually got to see them in high-school perform at a local venue called tremont here in Charlotte. See example below, I am not sure who the producer is but it makes me want to work on my sampling. Some producers have a natural knack for digging down and finding songs that are older and remaking them in a new style.

#1 :: Cold as Ice - Foreigner I actually had never heard this before this week, my mom showed it to me, but it also reminded me what I love about hip-hop (and hardcore music, but for this example its hip hop), is sampling. I had a hard time picking which song I would include considering i relistind to their first two CD's while traveling today. #2 :: Big Wiggly Style - The Devil Wears Prada I have not really listened to this style of music sense high-school but it can always help you get over any sort of anger/confusion or whatever emotion you might be feeling at the time. It has me interested in trying to produce a similar sound soon. I think this song is starting to get radio play, so it will probably be played out in 3 weeks and I will be sick of it. Pharrell Daft Punk can be pretty repetitive but you can't deny that they are catchy. This is track #11 off of Kendrick Lamar's cd Good Kid M.A.A.D City #3 :: Get Lucky - Daft Punk Ft. Take a listen to this song, nice and mellow, good beat and good lyrics. I must say the original is much better then mine, take a listen. I created my remix before hearing the original version of the song.

I recently re-discovered MC Lars by looking for rap acapella to test under one of my new instrumentals. It is hard to rank any of them let alone pick 5, but I will try my best!
